About Us

Hmmm… who are we? That’s a pretty interesting question that I keep trying to figure out.

I’m Lacey. I graduated from Texas A&M University and married my soul mate, Kyle, after dating for eight years. We bought a house in my hometown and decided we were ready to start a family. Four years later we were surprised to find out that I was pregnant with naturally-conceived triplets. We were amazed that I became pregnant after dealing with fertility issues for four years and losing a baby (Chance) in 2009. We lost one triplet (Hope) early on in my pregnancy. Ella and Emma trucked on and decided they were ready to meet us a month early when my water broke after a month of bed rest on January 13th, 2013 and they were born early January 14th. They went immediately to the NICU (no cute photos of them by my head in the OR) and I wasn’t able to see them for almost 12 hours. Ella developed a condition called pneumothorax and was life-flighted to another hospital before I was even able to hold her. She stayed in the NICU for a week and a half and I was finally able to hold her after a week. Emma stayed in the NICU for a week at my hospital so I was able to hold her much sooner.

After they came home, the fun began. What an adventure these little girls have been! We are constantly laughing at them and our hearts just swell with pride. I’ve learned a lot about being a mom, especially a MoM (Mother of Multiples). I use this blog as a way to chronicle my girls’ development, share tips and recipes, and pretty much whatever else I feel like.

Now, I just need to figure out WHO I am because I’m more than just a mother.
