Great News!

We have great news! Our fertility specialist told us to take a break from treatment and just “call him if there’s a miracle.” Well, TADA! A miracle! I’m pregnant. Without any medical intervention!
We don’t really believe it but it’s true. Last Tuesday I took a test and it had the faintest little line. I even took it to my sister to look at and decided if a line showed on a test the next morning, I should go for a blood test. Wednesday morning a line showed up and I was on the phone with my doctor’s office scheduling the blood work in Wharton. I impatiently waited a few hours but gave up and called. They had just received the results. “Well, you’ll have to go in again on Friday for more blood work, blah blah blah.” I thought something was wrong with the first test but then she said, “Oh no sweetheart, it was positive!” on May 30th my HcG level was 23. Friday it was 61 which is more than double and is great news! We go on June 18th for our first ultrasound.
My sister had told me a few weeks ago that she had a feeling I would get pregnant this month. She said she even has a dream that I had a little girl named Emma. I don’t know if it was the power of prayer from everyone at the ACTS retreat, being anointed with healing oil or just simply God’s will but whatever it was, it happened.
I honestly don’t believe it still. I keep staring at the tests and waiting to wake up from this dream. I think technically I’m 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant. Our EDD is January 28,2012. The three month safe zone is up in Mid July. I won’t ever feel “safe” until I have a healthy baby in my arms. Every little twitch or pain freaks me out and I’m scared to go to the bathroom and find blood. It probably won’t get better so we just have to have faith.
